If the Republicans take control, we are sure to see Daschle and his Cronies dumping publicly on anything

IMO the market will rally on the election news, which should be seen as a positive by the market.

How long will a rally last? Maybe a rally until the FOMC announcement, and then a sell off on "news" if there isn't a rate cut...or if there is a half point cut, which IMO wouldn't be seen as positive to the market?

I'm not sure this is the start of a new bull market....but it does seem like "buy the dips" is a strategy that has been successful for the last few weeks.

I think news of a major Republican victory will be seen as positive, since IMO changes will be made that will be viewed as favorable to business. IMO the voting public was "sending a message" to the Democratic leadership. As one news station was reporting, the Democratic party has not helped their cause by their vote against Homeland Security... as well as the recent funeral for Paul Welstone that was turned into a political rally.
