Maybe the people do not want the government to provide these services. Government is the most inefficient system devised by man. A necessary evil. The smaller the better. The closer to the people the better.

In VA the two local sales tax referendums went down by good sized margins. The money was to be earmarked for transportation.

The education bond issue passed.

Seattle killed the proposal to extend the monorail for mass transit.

Hi, I was invited by Tim to post on this thread so blame him if you don't like what I have to say. The truth is I think Tim took pity......I am a man without a thread. <g>

I need a clarification.........according to the Sea. Times and their website, the monorail initiative is leading, not failing. Where did you see that it has failed?
