Well, then the people should quit moaning about the terrible traffic and how the government needs to do something about it. And parents should quit bitching about no books in the classrooms and classes being too large.

The reality is, whether we like it or not, that in our contemporary society people DO expect the government to provide certain services, especially roads, fire protection, mass transit where necessary, education, libraries, parks, and other ameneties. They want these things. They just want somebody else to pay for them.

I agree with that. There are many government "services" that simply shouldn't exist.

Got to fasten that back pocket when they come by saying "We're from the government and we're here to help you." LOL.
