I'll leave the absinthe to the Finn.

My preferred poison these days is 15 year-old MacAllan's. Can a 15 year old single malt be better than its 18 year old big brother? This the only time I've experienced such an anomaly.

For a great moderately-priced Oregon Pinot Noir, try Elk Cove. Not the fancy Reserve or Estate or whatever, just the plain old 2000 Willamette Pinot Noir. About $18 a bottle.

Like CDMA, Pinot Noir is tough to do. Elk Cove got it right.

I suspect that I'll be having a nice celebratory jolt or two of my preferred poisons Thursday night. If not, I'll be drinking my poisons to drown sorrows.

Can you say 28 cents, maybe 29, earned this quarter?
