You should try to stick to the facts, GST, and not blow this thing up into your broad perceptions of US policy wrongs.

Exactly. That is why, incidentally, the UN is trying to word the resolution such that the US cannot automatically decide to invade Iraq on grounds that Iraq did not comply with some corner of it.
