It IS all about oil. The Middle East would not be such a powder keg if the world didn't revolve around oil

I don't disagree that it is about oil. That's different from the allegation that it is about PROFITS.

Oil is important to use for strategic reasons, and there is nothing wrong with us going to war if those interests are or may be threatened. I would be adamantly opposed to war to protect the profits of Exxon; but while the liberals have alleged it from here to eternity, there is simply nothing to suggest it as fact.

So lose the conspiracy theories. Tell me how effective diplomacy will be in containing the threats of a madman.

Very effective. Also, I understand the need to contain a tyrant...but stand behind your assertion that he has threatened us? When? When he invaded SW Iran we did not object. When he invaded Kuwait we reacted with a vengeance. What was the difference? Why don't you lose the conspiracy theories and start telling it the way it is?
