Don't worry about that. I was in the debate and I'm not sure what the sides were.
LOL! That bad, eh?

As in when Jefferson was running for President having to field the question..."Did you father a child by one of your black
slaves?"...that kind of nasty colorful debate? And as any politician might respond...I won't dignify that question.

It got much nastier than that. Remember Hamilton and Burr? Lethal force?

And the publication of bald-faced slanderous lies in partisan newspapers was common.

Uh, so what's changed? :-)

Actually, it didn't change 20 or so years after the founding, did it? Then the slavery issue arose. Remember the caning on the Senate floor?

Did the British Parliament have such colorful "debates"?
