Jim, RE: "I expect horrible Christmas season sales" I just saw an article in Fortune, November 11 about this. Haven't read it yet, but one of the highlighted quotes says "This is going to be the worst Christmas in 15 years." I think this Christmas season will be pivotal in gauging the strength of the consumer. I have heard that consumer expenditures are 2/3, if not more, of the total economy. So far, it appears as if the consumer spending has been offsetting the rest of the economic weakness. DB
