Rumor has it that O'Connor wants to retire. I'd expect to see Rehnquist and O'Connor retire, and see Scalia appointed Chief Justice.

First appointee, Hispanic, as you predict, can't remember his name but he's presently on the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the woman could well be from that same court. Texas is in the Fifth Circuit.

I would love to see Posner appointed (he's 7th Circuit) -- my favorite federal judge. One of the most intelligent men in the country. Maybe smarter than Scalia.
