Part of Reagan and the Repubs plan in the 1980s was to get the federal government in so much debt that the government wouldn't be able to fund new social spending. And it worked!

But what did he do?
What specifically did Clinton do?

When college kids he is addressing come up to him to ask him his formula for a successful economy, what does he tell them?

I'm sure it's something like this: "I screwed the interns, but I didn't screw with Reagan's recovery."

As I recall it took Clinton to get rid of the deficit created by his Republican predecessors. Bush like Reagon thinks creating deficits with tax cuts, is the way to pay for everything. No doubt the coming Iraqi War will be financed by another tax cut! ha ha ha
When I was in college during the Reaqon administration, the professor asked how long it took for America to have it's firs trillion dollal deficit, my answer was it didn't take Ronnie very long at all.
