You said he never set foot on a guard base and the fact is the he DID "serve in the National Guard during the Vietnam War".

Irrelevant details.

If I claim Henry G. Smith is a major league player, because he led of batting on Tuesday's game and it turns out it was on Wednesday's, big deal, that doesn't make him any less of a major league player.

Ditto with GWB. My point was that he did not _serve_ during Vietnam. Yes, turns out than rather than dodging the draft by never setting a foot in a National Guard base (as I had erroneously claimed) he dodged the draft by never setting foot in the *second* air base he was assigned to. Big deal. He's still a draft dodger who hid behind his dad connections during the war.

Why don't you find something new to whine about

I care about the truth, and it pisses me off to see him claiming to have "served" during the Vietnam War while our boys were getting killed down there.

Seemingly you are quite comfortable with his lies about his service record and think is perfectly Ok to disrespect those whose name are inscribed in a black wall in Washington DC, so long as he wins the majority of the house.

Clearly you and I have different moral standards.
