Mqurice,

<< Vodafone NZ outbid me for some 890-899MHz spectrum recently in NZ [I gave up before it even started] >>

That is really unfortunate.

You are the only NZ conglomerate I know of that could afford a buildout right now.

<< I don't believe there will ever be a 2GHz buildout in NZ. We have more spectrum than sheep - enough for all the sheople to have their own megahertz. >>

Well that's the trick. Tag dem sheep with an xcdma modem. People sheep can use GPS and LBS to keep track of sheep, the sheep can keep track of people, her sheep can keep track of him sheep, him sheep can keep track of her sheep, them sheep can keep track of kid sheep.

<< Maybe Vodafone will do a trial GSM1x buildout in NZ. >>

I can't think of a better place.

LBS for sheople!

Meantime with Vodafone Live coming to NZ next year, I've been meaning to ask if you are a user of NZ Telecom's 1xRTT 'JetStream' service, and if so could you comment on it?
