"Effectively utilized". There was lots of hot air generated there. That's all it was good for. "Effectively utilized". So what? What's that mean? We hardly "effectively utilized" all the bombs we dropped on Germany after the league failed. A great many fell in the wrong places. What happened happened. What we did worked, though. We did defeat Germany. After the League failed. The UN has decided, at least for now, not to become irrelevant. It approved an Iraq resolution. Not good enough yet, though. It doesn't actually authorize force.
