I wonder. I was just listening to C-Span - Democrats were weighing in on whether they would prefer a liberal or a moderate Democrat as House Minority Leader. Most of the ones I heard said that they wanted a liberal. One fellow opined that he wanted the UN to run our military, that he wanted everybody who made more than $50K to pay 50% income tax, and he wanted any woman who wanted an abortion to get one, paid for by the government, at any point in time during pregnancy. I would guess that he loves Ramsey Clark, too, but he seemed rather looney to me. If that's what liberals are heading towards, no wonder the Republicans are looking good to the ordinary person.

Weren't they just trying to be too much of a moral generation ? After all, it's easier to change an Israeli excess rather than a PA one, a Serbian than an Iraki etc.
