Out of the ungoing regional tragedies at present, I doubt if any other is as close to Europe, as widely covered in global media as the Isr/Pal conflict.

how come the Europeans are so passionate about the Palestinians, when they don't give tuppence for the Kurds, the Tibetans, or the millions of dead in Rwanda and the Sudan? And the US cares? No. Look at the mess in Zimbabwe.
