2004 is going to be big for the GOP unless they find a way to really screw it up....
They do sometimes exhibit flashes of genius. :-)

In this state in the last election it was giving the GOP nomination to Simon instead of Riordan. Riordan could have handed Davis his head and Davis knew it and targeted him during the primary. Unfortunately, the knee-jerk Neanderthals in the central valley fell for it and knocked out Riordan, leaving Simon. Who then got trounced by Davis.

Pelosi is planning on sifting attention back to the economy. Which might or might not work in 2004. Our "friends" in the ME could reelect Bush in one second with the right act.
