You don't know what you are talking about there, sorry. The two events have nothing to do with each other. Do a little google search and you will see that all started with the coup Greece in 1967, and the Junta that came to power aimed ENOSIS, that is, unison of Cyprus with Greece. It was the Turkish minority that was harassed, and this is the reason why the Turkish army finally set foot on Cyprus. IMHO, the Turks used their right to protect the Turks on Cyprus when they first came in - I don't remember which agreement it is but both Greece and Turkey had this right to protect their people if necessary. Their fault is that they have not left.
