David,

hench.net

The Dems this election tried to say the mean old Republicans tried to destroy social security. The Dems tried to say the economy is more important than the war.

Well, the Dems won't have an economy if they continue to support their current social security scam.

Maybe Pelosi will start working on the social security ponzi scheme since she wants to get the terrorist war off the front page of the liberal media?

Steve

Can you believe that he would have walked away from Bin Laden the way Clinton did?

Before 9/11? Absolutely.

Had they done so, I think the voters would have revolted.

The voters were/are frightened. What else could they be when for months all they hear is of this "immediate mortal danger"?

If the Dems continue to believe, as you do, that the election was about the Republicans being bad, they are destined to failure. I believe the House Minority Leader election is a great metaphor for what the Democrats face; they can choose to be reasonable and moderate and have a voice, or they can choose extremism and frankly, they will be ignored.

Remember Bush Sr and the 1991 gulf war....and then came the 1992 election.

Al

David,

Can you imagine, even for a minute, Geo Bush 41 in office when the first WTC bombing occurred?

Just from the personal experience, the Dems I spoke with were in denial about the first WTC attack. My take was that the reaction of the country should have been as if the attack succeeded (and 20,000 Americans were murdered). Whenever I spoke to a Dem and expressed this opinion, I got a blank stare.

Well, to qualify the statement, the Democrats I spoke to who were in the towers at the time of the first attack generally shared my opinion.

Joe
