re: "but most other companies don't"

Do you think vendors other than Nokia managed contracts for wCDMA infrastructure with no performance clause... cash on the barrel on delivery? Or can everyone - save Nokia - pass the test? European carriers - if not Nokia - will be pleased at the progress.

re: "It might be so that Nokia has the money to send out equipment without getting paid anything"

Might be so?

I admire your skepticism regarding any Nokia comment - even a quote admitting to a contractual payment liability.

Raymond,

<< It might be so that Nokia has the money to send out equipment without getting paid anything, I don't know, but most other companies don't. >>

As a matter of fact Nokia does have the money to do that (surplus EUR 8 Bil worth) ... but all infrastructure providers do in fact "send out equipment without getting paid anything".

The manner and detail of how they get paid is generally summarized in the 10K's or 20-F's of the various infra providers.

Infra is seldom if ever billed "cash on the barrel on delivery." (using Ben G's phrase).

If any infra manufacturer recognizes revenue to early (billed before customer is willing to pay according to terms of the master contract) an investor can spot it by increased AR.

Best,

- Eric -
