I know nothing about dos commands but I have a friend that does. Try searching (ctrl + f) this page for various dos tips.

It's XCOPY SOURCE DESTINATION /S/E

The /S copies subdirectories.
The /E copies subdirectories even if they are empty.

USE XCOPY /? for a help screen.
