I noticed that you avoided my question of an earlier post.

I didn't avoid it; I just sort of thought, what the hell is the point?

The things I see as accomplishments you see as undesirable (tax cuts, including significant progress toward eliminating the Death Tax, one of the worst). At the very least, we have devastated AlQueda AND begun to undo the untold damage of Clinton's allowing the United States to be run over by Iraq.

After 8 years of incompetent foreign policy mismangement, I saw the Bush administration handle a tense situation with China with absolute finesse. I saw reignition of the focus on SDI (which I have believed in since before it became Reagan's policy, and which is the surest way I know of to reduce the incidence of military and civilian death by war) accompanied by masterful TERMINATION of a treaty that was, frankly, a roadblock to the elimination of worldwide nuclear threat. I saw him propose and get through an education bill which will help eliminate the dumbing down of American children. I saw a president who, frankly, knows how to deal with other nations.

Some of the things Bush as succeeded in that Clinton failed in are more subtle. For example, by placing immensely qualified African Americans in the highest official positions ever attained by minorities in our government, he has set an example that shows young minorities that they can achieve, not by affirmative action, but by excellence. Clinton NEVER did anything of this nature, and I believe Bush's success is starting to show in the minority vote.

I saw the Bush Administration put its foot down when Enron collapsed and the liberals came running, asking the government to fraudulently intervene. There is NO QUESTION that had the Clinton administration been in office, such fraud WOULD HAVE TAKEN PLACE -- it was, after all, Clinton's economic leader who attempted to get government intervention. Since then, the Bush administration has come down hard on the people who are responsible.

Bush has done a couple of things I don't think he should have -- most notably, giving the liberals the big spending farm bill in exchange for NOTHING. But I don't expect perfection, and hopefully he has learned.

Frankly, I saw a ton of other stuff, as well, but much of it was stonewalled by the liberals for political reasons. He has proposed legislation for terrorism insurance (seriously needed), reorganizing homeland defense, and prescription drug legislation -- all of which have been stonewalled by liberals.

These are the things that sort of leap out at you. More importantly, however, he has behaved has a man of true quality, has stayed above the filth in liberal politics, and frankly, shown integrity at every step.
