Another explanation for $186 mobile XP2200 - Barton 2400 or higher will be here soon. I believe a chip like that would sell in the 200's. The center of the box for both desktop and mobile Barton on the roadmap is 1/1/03. Its clear from the recent promise of late Q1/early Q2 for Opteron that the center of the box is AMD's current expectation.

Also, I would think that mobile Bartons should preceed the desktop parts since production starts off slow.
