Re Enron, it isn't over Your article makes my point for me. Even the liberal AG in California is unable to make a case against Lay thus far. A I said, there is no evidence that the administration is, in any way, backing off of Lay. The truth may well be that he didn't commit a crime. If he DID, then why aren't the Democrats in California hauling him into court? Again, it isn't over. I think ultimately Lay will be brought to trial, and likely by the Bush administration. But these investigations are complex and require months, even years. Your criticism of the Bush administration is both unfair and premature. I've been around long enough to know if someone is hiding something pertaining to my business or government I suppose you think Microsoft should post its source code on the Internet for public viewing? And by all means, since we're thinking about war, the government should make available any and all defense department planning to anyone who is interested? Perhaps we could release plans for a Stealth Bomber -- we only have a few tens of billions invested. Yes, I think it is ESSENTIAL that government and business operate without secrecy.
