Easy for many people to overlook the 90+ percent that the agent gets out of the deal for THEM when bitching about commissions.

As noted in your example, if someone spends too much time bitching about commissions, he might wind up with only 80 percent.

It's kinda like not wanting to pay the high price of new roof, so you don't....and then later you pay to fix all the drywall damage after the roof leaked bigtime.

Oh, well.....commissions will continue to be whatever brokers charge and the public will pay--nothing more, nothing less.

Grace, you got some friends out in Marin Co. , no? Are they all broke now with their JDSU and WBVN stocks? Do any of them own their own homes or do they just have big mortgages? Maybe one of them would like to trade homes with me? Not that I would want their house, just would be able to flip it easily as there is a huge demand for Marin homes due to the name recognition plus it is a nice area and close to SF.
