" Do you give the "anti-war" crowd the credit of Bush's going to the UN? "

Entirely.

" The loudest voices I remember arguing for the mulilateral route are those of Henry Kissinger, Tony Blair and Colin Powell ".

The voices were ringing in their heads from the Poll results being cast around the world that showed a strong diapproval for unilateral action, which improved to 75% in favour if going the UN route.

Policy shifts are often derived from the rejection of the stated policy. But I guess I will have to repeat this, since your memory is failing you convieniently again.

IT WAS UN-PATRIOTIC TO OPPOSE THE ADMINISTRATION!!

That only changed when some gutsy scribblers started to get attention, the polls began looking weak, and those you mention began reconsidering the " War Now " scenario.

Let's avoid rewriting history, for whatever reason.OK?

Gotta runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn......

Bye
