retired: We could begin by thinking about how to break the cycle of violence and hatred -- this is not to say that killing people is not necessary from time-to-time. But in and of itself, killing begets more hatred and more killing. We don't solve much of anything when if all we do is kill. It is going to take more than that to make the world safe and secure. The problem with invading Iraq is not the killing -- although we do not yet know what scale of killing will be involved. The problem with invading Iraq is what happens after the killing is done. If I was interested in fomenting hatred of the US, Canada and Britain, I would pray for an invasion of Iraq. This is not my prayer.
