USDollar in dangerous ground now, breakdown has paused

stockcharts.com[h,a]daclyyay[dc][pb50!d20,2!f][vc60][iUb14!Uh15,5,5]&pref=G

20dayMA is declining rapidly
50dayMA has turned down (at low rate of descent)
20MA crossed the 50MA two weeks ago (when Fed cut rates)

in a few days the current price will touch the declining 20MA
a rebuff would not be surprising

both daily stochastix and relstrenk are showing positives

a rectangular box is evident from Aug-Sept-Oct in 105-109 range
this indicates a breakdown target of 101 here
which would send it below critical support

critical support is 104 or so, where it bounced last week

Venezuela and cheap juniors

No danger here so far, but thanks for the concern, nsploar. I'm in the east of the country, well away from the goings-on in Caracas. Unfortunately, this circus does put a damper on the plans for my marriage ceremony, which is supposed to take place in Caracas on the 30th. That looks increasingly unlikely, however.

If you have a Canadian account, keep in mind prices for GBG.v, YMC.u.v, and NGT.v are quite reasonable IMO. In fact, I'd say the latter two are in the "stupid cheap" category. GBG also has fair liquidity trading in the US as GBGLF. It's expecting a lot to get better prices on these issues. I have a chunk of all three.

My stable of juniors has been doing quite well over the past few weeks, despite those 3 mentioned above. Most individual stock take two steps forward and one back (KBR being the most obvious one), but overall the bottom line keeps growing. I take this as a sign that good prices are about to disappear.

Hope folks got some ALS on sale under 1.10 and MDW under .80 ... those were real steals IMO.

CBD.t isn't unreasonable here, FWIW.

VT, if you're reading, mind sharing your opinion on current best buys that are already in your stable?

Take Care,
