>>That opportunity is now lost because America is too afraid of the whining muslims who comprise the world's second largest religion.<<

this statement says it all johannes...

and yes we *can* still enter iraq....

but we must win...

and win *big*

it simply comes down to civilized v. uncivilized.

not necessarily muslim v. christian or jew

but the uncivilized have thrown down the gauntlet and we know who they are.

the time for pussyfooting around muslim "culture" is long past.

there can be no question as to who was the vanquished.

Dear JP: Reading your post, I believe that you would have liked another President we once had. Teodore Roosevelt. His motto was, "Walk Softly, but carry a BIG STICK".
Frankly, I am wondering if it might just have been better to somehow insert operatives into IRAQ and assassinate Saddam and family. Funny, how this is probably abhorrent to most Americans and other peoples of the World, yet, OK to invade with an Army and inflict huge casualties.
I would LIKE to see us be successful in converting IRAQ into SOME type of Democratic Nation (I realize its probably impossible to seperate church and state in the Muslim World), but if you are correct it seems to me an impossible task. If they truly HATE us and dont see us as SAVIORS we are gonna have problems. Look at all the havoc the Palestians cause against Israel, yet Israel is FAR more powerful militarily and basically does as it pleases there, still cant shut off the guerrillas. Same is true of Russians in Chechenizcha (sp?). The American public UNFORTUNATELY probably cannot withstand a protracted war, we just dont have the needed patience. Lot of Political danger here for Bush I fear. JDN
