07:14 ET CSCO Cisco Systems shareholders reject dividend proposal (13.66) Dow Jones reports that shareholders of CSCO, which is sitting on $21 bln in cash, voted by a ratio of 10-to-1 against setting a quarterly dividend.

Go figure. IMHO, this isn't a strong vote for the elimination of the double taxation on dividends.

Re : "market bottom in 2003 (?) / that's why it won't" -- um ... some of us think the stock market already bottomed in the July 2002 / October 2002 period.
