Martin Anderson? This shows you don't have personal experience of the period. Anderson was an economic advisor in name only. You can't look in a text book and hope to understand history.

Let me give you a clue. The text books are built on the hype and media hysteria of the period more so than any other period in history. It's humorous for me to read the revisionism that has taken place ever since. I had a unique position to see what was happening behind the appearance, behind what found its way into the media.
