prednisone taken orally.

Yeah, try to avoid it. I took a lot of it for a couple of years for Colitis. (Made me sympathize with JFK, "Projectile Diarrhea" is no fun.) I ended up with cataracts in both eyes, caused by the prednisone, and had to have my lens replaced. No fun, and very expensive. The up side of it is that I don't have to worry getting cataracts as I go into old age, when it really gets difficult to replace them.
