Bush has put forth a pathetic effort in mediating the conflict in Palestine. The results speak for themselves. Clinton wasted a great deal of time trying to mediate. How good were HIS results? This problem dates back to WWI and you can't just "mediate" it away. I am suggesting that the solution to terror lies not in violence...the world is full of examples that support my claim. Who's conducting the violence? Israel is simply responding to the extreme violence committed against its innocent citizens. You have a bizarre perspective.

Both Israel and Palestine need to agree that enough is enough. The terrorists will continue to attack us whether there is a peace or not, if the terrorists don't agree with the terms of the peace. You make it sound like we should live with the terrorism at the current level, and not attack back at the terrorists, because retribution would just encourage more terrorism, at a higher level. I am suggesting that the solution to terror lies not in violence... And just how have you said that. You have said nothing about the Arabs stopping the terrorism, just that the US shouldn't retailiate. Worse your logic that Americas aid to Israel is causing the war defies logic, as the US gives far more aid to arab countries, than the US gives to Israel. Why is aid to Egypt good, when aid to Israel is bad. Why aren't you against all aid if giving aid is your problem? Plus, while the Us is aiding Israel, the Arab counties are aiding the Palestinians. Why is the US aid bad, but the other Arab nations aid to Palestinian terrorists good. Isn't that aid also extending the conflict. At least the US is being even handed about it, and giving aid to both Arab countries and Israel.
