I obviously don't know what's fair. But there is that saying, when you're in a hole, the first thing is to quit digging. Seems to me like the Arabs ought to quit digging, as they've apparently lost ground (literally) at every turn.

Assuming we oust Saddam, is it likely that a democratic government will be accepted in Iraq?

I would consider it very likely.


I was wondering; I've read differing accounts, some suggesting that installing democracy in Iraq would be difficult because there is a general mindset against democracy in the region. That was not to say it couldn't be done, just that the challenge is huge...
