"it is merely more blips on the screen.......

Sure. But how does one reconcile that with statements about always telling the truth and living according to Christian Principles?

Precisely.

Exactly.

Which makes all this fuss so totally absurd.

Why on earth should Jewel care whether I, whoever I am behind this SI persona, thinks he's a wonderful dad, an okay dad, or a terrible dad? What possible difference does it make in what kind of a dad he is? Does my saying I pity his daughter make a smidgen of difference to whether his daughter is incredibly lucky, or incredibly unlucky, to have him for a dad? Always assuming he actually DOES have a daughter in real life, which of course nobody knows.

It's all so silly. What possible difference does it make whether a person you've never met and almost certainly never will meet, who wouldn't know you if you were in the same line in the grocery store, does or doesn't apologize for some electronic blips they put on a screen?

Total kerfluffle, as another thread points out.
