We overthrew a government on the other side of the world, using primarily airpower and SpecOps forces within two months of 9/11??

We overthrew a war weary government in a country that had already been bombed back into the dark ages, wherein a the Taliban that we "eradicated" arose after we moved in and then out again. We overthrew a government where the "soldiers" rode horses and lived in caves and didn't have air power or weaponry close to ours. And there's still that investigation of the massacre of 200 taliban soldiers packed into an unventilated cargo truck and smothered to death.

I think this IS bad news.
"the CIA director George Tenet had to concede that the threat from al-Qaida and associated jihadist groups was as serious as before September 11. "
