I've been meaning to read _C&C_ by Hanson. He's been one of the most ardent proponents of the cultural theory of "why do they hate us?" question about rogue nations. He's also been a full-fledged supporter of war in the middle east since 9/11. I don't necessarily agree with his views, but he is a gifted writer.

I am current reading a book I absolutely love- Jayber Crow.
It is a book about a man growing up in rural Kentucky beginning 1912. It's a novel but it reads like an autobiography. Best thing I have read in a long time.

MB,

re: Hansen **the western concept of absolute annihiliation of the enemy military to be barbaric.** I have to question his logic starting with Korea...VietNam...Gulf War.

**Allison Krauss's "Forget About It"** After hearing her and Union Station singing "The Lucky One" on the Country Music Awards, went to BBY and got the double CD "Live". She states on the CD that Jerry Douglas (from Ohio) is the best slide guitarist in the world, and listening to his solo, I'd have to agree. Will have to check out Nickel Creek...I sure miss all the Bluegrass Festivals we used to go to in FL. Always were held in large campgrounds and it was fun to go to the different campsites off hours and listen to jam sessions...sometimes better than the main attractions.<G>
