Ted Re...What is it with you conservatives that you can only condemn the Palestinians?

Good question. And I have said before that both sides need to stop the violence. In addition, I am not so naive as to believe that war/violence can't be justified under any circumstances, as Alighieri claims. Our wars against Germany and Japan both resulted in a more humane world order after the war was over. Without us stopping Japan, an imperialist Japan might still rule the far east. And as the Rape of Nanking should tell us, that Japan today is far different from the Japan of WWII. Vietnam is a big question mark. Communism has been discredited, Vietnam may have been a part of bankrupting communism, and communism, with Stalin, Pol Pot, Lenin, hasn't been beneficial to mankind. I disagree with David over Serbia, as I believe all dictators who don't respect the lives of their subjects should meet an untimely demise. The fact that a Dem. was in power when we went to war, doesn't mean it was wrong. In this category, I would put Saddam.
