Dear ET: Look the economy isnt what it oughtta be, so states are ALL HURTING and all will be scratching to get all they can from the USA. Now is the time for them to tighten up their belts, not to screw up the means necessary to get this economy rolling again so as to alleviate shortages for all. Now, I am not going to be arrogant enough to attempt to tell you what is needed to get the economy rolling, but whatever the best economists and all feel is the way to go, I support. Far as I know, no one has ever indicated raising taxes improves the economy. But if it does, go for it. If it doesnt, dont. Its REALLY that simple. jdn
