Have you ever known people who like to push others in to drinking more and more until the drinker has had to much. The drink pusher likes to watch the excitement as the drunk loses judgement, control and becomes destructive. The drink pusher has no regard to how their trusting "friend" may be harmed in the process. It makes the drink pusher feel powerful and in control to cause other people to lose it.

X, IMO pushes in her own destructive way. She pushes reasonable people into unreasonable situations by daring them to convince her she has to accept common decency. Look how calm and seemingly in control she becomes once she gets an over the edge reaction. Look how she then offers the reacter another nudge to continue. It is not about reason, decency, conflicts, or resolution to conflicts. Its all about a control issue. She uses other people's sense of fairness and decency to create havac for its own sake. Its a mean spirited and destructive control issue.
