Yes. If to a normally cognizant human being, that behavior should have been too obvious and caused alarm bells to go off. But if you add that you would change the premise and it would change some other things like, wouldn't the dupe enter into the same fear/victim role as the teller at that point? I don't see any other reason for an honest person to follow through with it. So we have to ask what his level of responsibility is at that point. I think being uninformed initially is the key to it and once informed if his life was at risk, he is no more culpable than the teller.
