Other people in the world also wish to be independent and free of outside (= US) interference in everything they do. It's my view that people in the Mid-East have the same noble beliefs as the American Founding Fathers did when they waged the War of Independence against Britain. Americans are not the only "freedom-loving" people in this world. >Don't mess with us, and we mean it. It's my humble opinion that no-one is messing with you --- except your own people --- people who appear to have an agenda. Those, in fact, are the people who I also fear. >There are places in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisana, and other southern states where the police do not go. That's good to hear. America fought two wars (Independence and Civil) for the rights to freedom of the individual etc and, IMO, people should not allow those rights to be taken from them, however surreptitously. >This is serious. You may call it Tyranny, but do not try to teach us that the gubment can affect our lives You could have kidded me that it doesn't. Even in SA, our news services are full of stories about the US government and how it impacts on everyone, everywhere. >Do Not try to change our way of life. I think, whether we like it or not, everyone's way of life is changing, and has changed. One might like to believe one is still as free as one imagined one was but, in truth, each and every government in this world is busy tieing its citizens up in all kinds of ways. Whether you accept it or not, the US is, today, an intensely socialistic country. Government is expanding all the time and encroaching into every aspect concerning the lives of its people. Even more, the US government is also committed to encroach into and control the lives of people who are not Americans and do not even live in North America. > Don't tread on me I can't imagine why you, or anyone else, thinks I am treading on them. I am an insignificant insect who lives in a no-place and who counts for nothing. All I do is attempt to discuss various matters with you or anyone else on the thread. In fact, I cannot understand why people take offence at what I say. Are Americans so insecure that they want people to keep patting them on the head and telling them how wonderful they are? > we will still be friends Thank you and I'm happy to be your friend. But don't count on me to patronize you!
