There was an interesting article in the Economist, in one of the first few pages, about Turkey and the EU. It was talking about how the Europeans should be able to subtly and over time change Turkey into one of theirs and then admit it in the Union, especially since this is what they advocate in opposition to the US stance of "We go in and change regimes".

Maybe CB could post it. I think she has a subscription to The Economist.
