Porpoises are mammals, and require access to the surface to breath. Sharks are fish, and do not require such access. Porpoises are social, and interact well with human beings. Sharks are "eating machines", and inherently dangerous to anything fleshy that gets in their way. Just for starters. These are consequential differences. Really, the obfuscation is unbecoming......
