The American left is going to ride itself to oblivion in defense of the greedy tort lawyers. I fully agree with your sentiment, but I think the demohacks' long range plan for the tort lawyers is far more abominable and despicable than just near term greed for the lawyers... the demohacks want tort lawyers to be able to sue without limits for any and all medical incidents, and here's why: their plan is to drive physicians out of business because they won't be able to afford malpractice insurance... then, the demohacks will say, "See, we told you the health care system doesn't work, we need to socialize medicine." The demohacks believe support of the trial lawyers will gain this end for them... these cold blooded demohacks will go to any length to destroy our current health care system just to make a political point... these political thugs sweeten the pot for the trial lawyers, and the trial lawyers don't mind being used as a political instrument since the deal for them is so nifty... GZ
