Jeff, you're reading too much into the posting of a few. Sure some folks ignored the AV. Until 1347 broke, many of us were skeptical of this rally. But, like many, I have found that those who fight the tape die a painful death. Those who try to predict turns live tortured lives and leave most of the profit on the table.

I took your comments and applied them. From 1347 my shorts have typically been covered within the same day and I have been substantially long. I have been in the technical analysis business for over 30 years but learned a lot from your postings. Helped save me plenty of money.

It isn't really my modus operandi to step into the middle of anyone's thread to announce my good fortune. I'm sure there are many who feel the same way. Let's face it, traders are a lot like beggars. We get some satisfaction of showing others where the bread can be had; not by flaunting the bread in another hungry man's face.

You cannot make everybody listen or do what you want them to. That is just a fact of life.

The retrace was great while it lasted and now we have to bounce around in some fairly unfamiliar waters... I'm not convinced that this will all end badly any time soon. I am open to the possibility of new lows next year but will only worry about that when the indicators tell me the market has stalled and we should be predominantly short. For all I know, that could be years from now. Money is cheap and it will find a home. The market confounds all who are inflexible or who conform to popular TA...1932 marked a stock market bottom while the economy continued to nose dive for years.

Keep posting and take no prisoners.

Goin' with the flow.

Jeff: Well, you have helped a great many here so I don't think you have wasted your time despite what you may think. It helped me and I am still learning from your posts.

You have been repeating your analysis of a few weeks past since you returned. I don't understand why but I am sure you have reasons.

You did not respond to my suggestion and, so, I don't know what else to say.

I guess I just see things very differently from my perspective.

Peace and thanks.

jeff, how does the t-q show you a top??

i'm looking at it, and don't see how it could have shown a top previously

i must be missing something

thanks

i have some thoughts on the crap stocks:

they topped about here last year

they may come under some serious tax loss selling through dec., imo

on gold, it was about this time last year it started a move that went into memorial day

i see a gold triangle, and buck looks toppy, imo

well, anyway, i'm bullish on gold knowing how flooded the world is with greenbacks, ggggg

JEFF, I will try to regularly post about AVs, DBs, P&S, etc. on major indices from now on to back you up.

My suggestion to everyone:
NO matter what else you have (personally, I use eSignal) get STOCKCHARTS "Extra" ($50 for 3 months I believe):
stockcharts.com

Is it possible that the all the bears need to turn bullish before the killing fields begin ? You were correctly bearish
throughout the decline and turned bullish also correctly. The public is not participating in this rally as indicated by fund outflows. I am wondering if the rally needs to be strong enough to convince everybody that the new bull has begun before going down for real. I think very few people
will make money on the last deadly leg down including the
bears.
