When the "Independent" Commission was created and the head was appointed. I needed to look up the dictionary to double check what "independent" means.

Always and ever the same ol' friendly c2. And a hello to you.

As for the Bush administration's aversion to an independent commission to investigate 9-11, it's been in all the papers, ad nauseum. Games played in the extreme. Take a look.

As for keeping the lid on, that's also been in all the papers, though it might be better expressed as not wishing to have any investigation they cannot control down to the size of the water glasses. Couldn't resist.

As for what's being hidden, who knows. My guess is that in the early stages of the congressional investigation they resisted for fear something would come out that would harm them politically. But now, I doubt that.

Though, since they don't check with me on a regular basis, I genuinely don't know. I rather think they wish to control proposals for future work.

As for the Kissinger point, it's too self evident to argue about.

And, finally, I agree with your signature.
