I want him to shut up and follow the path which he himself set forth through the UN. I want him to let the inspectors do their jobs without interference from the black house. I want him to give a chance to a peaceful solution and I want him to stop embarassing the US.

Don't you understand that the president's rhetoric is the ONLY possibility we have for avoiding a war? Only if Saddam understands that he has no choice in this matter, that he MUST comply, else he will be destroyed -- is there a chance of avoiding an all-out conflict.

It is amazing to me that you and many other liberals don't understand this basic fact.

What more DO YOU want Iraq to do? They are allowing unimpeded inspections and have said that they would comply with the UN resolution. Where is the basis for what Bush said today?

Iraq isn't ALLOWING anything. It has been shoved down their throats. This is what is necessary after 4 years of neglect. As to Bush's remarks, I don't feel I have to have all of the knowledge the president does on these matters.

You have fought Bush every step of the way on this. Yet, it appears that Bush has handled this foreign policy nightmare he inherited very skillfully. After four years of Clinton neglect, we have inspectors back in Iraq. Can't you give him credit for this remarkable success? It damned sure wouldn't have happened with an Al Gore in office!
