Jacob,

Are you not aware that pro forma numbers are distributed in addition to GAAP numbers? You are free to ignore the pro forma numbers. Why do you want less info?

Looks like you've got your channels well defined, Jacob. It's a trader's approach, but having watched you over the last few years, I'm know you're attentive and disciplined enough to capture some good returns from it.

The bigger issue, for me at least, is whether these companies have retained their long term competitive advantages through this long bear market period. The analysts have been claiming that a new wave of leaders will emerge as we cycle into the next market phase. What's your take on the 7 stocks you're following?

Jacob: Long NTAP, QCOM, JDSU (and others). I bought today on what appears to me to be profit taking after what was essentially a two month run up. I formerly "traded" more frequently but am much more of an accumulator presently.

I find losing the war on terrorism a bit of an over statement. Unless you work inside an intelligence agency (puns are not welcome) you really don't know what is being won or not won. The media is not reliable as they would rather have a "story" than present fact, having forgotten that one of the major responsibilities of a free press in a democracy is to present and provide facts to keep the government accountable to the public. That said, I do agree there will be more "exogenous shocks" to the markets.... I also think it will snow in the mountains this winter.

Regards,
TRIO
