the key paragraph to those hapless chasers out there:
Gross' forecast could provide a rude awakening for investors who have poured $106.8 billion into bond mutual funds this year, according to Financial Research Corp. at Boston. This year has been a third straight down year for stocks.

some of that money is coming out, and into GOLD

He said the same thing over 1 1/2 yrs ago too. Just after the FED started the fast rate cutting. Also, last Mar-Apr he was buying distressed telecom bonds. OOPs!

disclosure: I have most of my wife's 401k in his Total Return fund since june 2000.
