I can definitely sympathize... We were driving neighbors around all week long to the store. The government shut down and few people worked either because of the snow, or the snowplows burying their cars under snow... I got lots of exercize digging people out that week... Hawk

For a last thing, get some of the new ice tires. Biizzak, Michlin Alpine, or the equivalent. I got that tip from a postman who had them and never needed chains and never got stuck. Got them for my wife and her 2WD drive van goes anywhere -- she gets to school and everybody else is bitching and moaning about the icy roads and she says "oh, was there ice? I didn't notice." I'm about to fork out close to 1,000 to equip my pickup with them. Even with 4WD. 4WD is nice for going, but it doesn't do a thing for stopping.
